May 2017- We are so proud of Nilou, who was named the CBS "Undergraduate of the Year"!!! This award is given to one outstanding graduating senior in the College of Biological Sciences. The award is given based on three criteria: academic excellence, research activity, and involvement in service to the campus or the community.

May 2017- Karen travels to Chicago to give a "State of the Art" lecture at Digestive Disease Week. It was fun catching up with old friends, and meeting new colleagues.

April 2017- Congratulations to NPB undergraduate Niloufar Mohajerani, who will begin dental school at the UCSF School of Dentistry in Fall 2017!

April 2017- Congratulations to Aki Chaffin, who will be a pre-doctoral trainee on the UC-Davis NEI T32 training grant, beginning in Fall 2017. We are really excited about this project, which focuses on a novel mechanism by which light-at-night may act on neuroendocrine circuits to regulate hepatic metabolism.
