Research Interests
Our research focuses on the neuroendocrine regulation of systemic metabolism. Specifically, we are interested in how signals derived from the meals that we eat can act on neuroendocrine circuits to alter metabolism, including: 1) feeding behavior, adiposity, and glucose homeostasis, 2) behavioral and metabolic responses to acute and chronic stress, and 3) interactions among these factors. An important goal is to identify new targets for therapeutic intervention in cardiometabolic disease and stress-associated disorders.
